New Research [Final Project]

After the first meeting with the team, we decided to pin down which theorists we wished to cover. The Three big names that were brought up frequently, were Marshall McLuhan, Laura Mulvey, and Roland Barthes. While I have plenty of familiarity with McLuhan’s work, and I know Roland Barthes ‘The Death of the Author’, I have no familiarity with their desired Barthes text, ‘Mythologies’, or Laura Mulvey’s work, ‘Visual Pleasure’. This will require a good amount of research, in order to help with the scripting process, and especially with explaining the material visually. As well as currently reading through Barthes ‘Mythologies’, I have found a few articles discussing key concepts of each theorist and works.
